Service Division 02

Glazing Systems & Curtain Walls

Engineered architectural glass envelopes built for extreme wind dynamics, live floor deflections, seismic shear, and thermal-acoustic isolation. From fully unitized high-rise facades to transparent spider-hung lobbies, ANEXA delivers certified precision from structural design to field water testing.

Structural Silicone Glazing
Type 2.1

Structural Glazing Systems

Frameless exterior glass skins where insulated glass units (IGU/DGU) are structurally bonded to concealed sub-frames using high-tensile silicone sealant. Eliminates external metal pressure plates, creating a sleek, monolithic reflective surface with minimal air resistance and superior weather protection.

  • Available in 2-sided structural (mechanical top/bottom support) and 4-sided flush flush-silicone systems.
  • Dual-component neutral cure structural silicone meeting ASTM C1184 and ASTM C1401 standards.
  • Thermal break polyamide insulation strips preventing condensation and indoor heat transfer.
  • Factory degreasing and peel-adhesion testing on every production batch before site delivery.
Type 2.2

Curtain Wall Glazing (Stick System)

A versatile field-assembled envelope system where vertical aluminium mullions and horizontal transoms are erected piece-by-piece on site before glass panels are secured with exterior pressure plates and snap-on decorative caps. Ideal for low-to-mid rise commercial complexes, shopping malls, and institutional facades with complex geometric planes.

  • Adaptable on-site assembly accommodating civil concrete slab deviations up to ±25mm.
  • Architectural exterior face caps available in aerofoil, bullnose, box, and deep blade profiles.
  • Engineered internal weep holes and drainage pathways preventing moisture accumulation.
  • Stainless steel 304/316 bracketry designed with slotted holes for thermal expansion movement.
Curtain Wall Glazing Stick System
Unitized Curtain Wall System
Type 2.3

Unitized Curtain Wall Systems

Prefabricated, story-high panel cassettes fabricated, glazed, and silicone-bonded completely under controlled factory clean-room conditions. Hoisted via floor-mounted mini cranes or monorail winches directly onto heavy-duty 3D-adjustable cast-in channel brackets, eliminating the requirement for external scaffolding on high-rise towers.

  • Rapid installation speed enabling completion of up to 1 full structural floor per week.
  • Interlocking male-female split mullions and transoms accommodating seismic sway and building drift.
  • Continuous internal dual-barrier vulcanized EPDM gaskets creating certified air-tight seals.
  • Integrated floor-to-floor firestops and smoke barrier seals meeting 2-hour fire integrity ratings.
Type 2.4

Semi-Unitized Glazing Systems

A high-efficiency hybrid engineering approach combining stick-built structural framework with factory-glazed glass sub-cassettes. Vertical mullions and horizontal transoms are fixed on site first, after which shop-glazed cassettes are quickly hung and locked into place using concealed mechanical clips.

  • Delivers factory-cured structural silicone quality without needing heavy high-rise hoisting rigs.
  • Independent cassette replacement allows damaged glass units to be swapped out without dismantling frames.
  • Excellent balance of commercial cost efficiency and factory quality assurance for mid-rise towers.
  • Concealed drainage channels direct wind-driven rain water safely out to the exterior facade base.
Semi-Unitized Glazing System
Spider Glazing with Glass Fin
Type 2.5

Spider Glazing Systems

Point-supported frameless curtain wall technology where multi-arm cast stainless steel spider brackets fasten heavy glass panes at four corners. Supported vertically by structural glass fins, steel pipe trusses, or high-tensile stainless steel cable trusses to deliver unmatched architectural transparency and unobstructed light ingress.

  • Investment-cast Grade 316 marine stainless steel 1-way, 2-way, 3-way, and 4-way spider arms.
  • Articulated swivel-head ball routels that pivot freely to relieve localized glass bending stresses.
  • Compatible with monolithic toughened, laminated, and double-glazed insulating units.
  • Engineered for grand hotel lobbies, automotive showrooms, airport atriums, and glass canopies.
Type 2.6

Point-Fixed Glazing Assemblies

Bespoke architectural bolting hardware engineering where precision-drilled countersunk or disc-fitting glass panels are anchored directly to structural steel skeletons, cantilevers, and elevator shafts. Emphasizes clean minimalist hardware, flush glass faces, and flexible mechanical fasteners that handle dynamic building vibration.

  • Countersunk flush routels seated precisely within CNC-beveled conical holes in laminated glass.
  • High-durability POM/Teflon and aluminium-bronze isolation washers preventing metal-to-glass contact.
  • Tension tie-rod rigging systems engineered for expansive wind loads without heavy columns.
  • Ideal for scenic capsule lift shafts, glass pedestrian bridges, and monumental entrance screens.

Fixed Architectural Glazing
Type 2.7

Fixed Architectural Glazing

Non-operable, heavy-duty aluminium framed vision lights, picture windows, and continuous strip ribbon glazing. Built using thermally broken architectural extrusions with deep glazing pockets, engineered for high acoustic insulation, maximum energy ratings, and zero air infiltration across commercial offices and premium residences.

  • Heavy-gauge 6063-T6 extruded aluminium profiles with multi-chamber thermal break insulation.
  • Glazing channels accommodating high-performance DGU glass thicknesses from 24mm up to 38mm.
  • High-density synthetic setting blocks ensuring proper glass dead-load distribution to sill frames.
  • Continuous co-extruded EPDM interior and exterior wedge gaskets for durable airtightness.
Type 2.8

Toughened & Laminated High-Safety Glass

Thermal tempering produces surface compressive stresses exceeding 69 MPa, resulting in glass 4 to 5 times stronger than annealed glass. When laminated with multi-layer Polyvinyl Butyral (PVB) or structural SentryGlas (SGP) ionoplast interlayers, the assembly retains structural integrity even if both panes fracture, preventing catastrophic fallout at height.

  • Mandatory Heat Soak Testing (HST) per EN 14179 to eliminate spontaneous Nickel Sulfide (NiS) failure.
  • High-rigidity SentryGlas (SGP) interlayers offering 5x the tear strength and 100x the stiffness of PVB.
  • Acoustic PVB interlayers damping high-frequency traffic and railway noise up to 45 dB RW rating.
  • Strictly compliant with Indian Standard IS 2553 (Part 1 & 2) and international ASTM C1048 specifications.
